We wanted to capture the energy of our hometown, so this design is heavily inspired by the iconic transit paths, intersecting train tracks, and bold architectural lines of the Windy City. Whether you are a daily commuter, an architecture enthusiast, or just a dedicated pen collector, Loop Lines is your ticket to a much smoother writing experience.

The Design Details

To bring this transit-inspired concept to life, we went with a tactile, multi-layered silk-screen process on the barrel. You can actually feel the raised texture of the intersecting lines under your fingers as you write. We topped it off with a glossy clear coat to protect the artwork and keep the pen feeling incredibly comfortable in your hand.

The color palette is a direct nod to Chicago transit and city life, blending a bold red (Pantone 1797 C), warm metallic copper (Pantone 876 C), soft blues (Pantone 290 C and 292 C), and cool grays (Pantone 408 C and 4152) over high-contrast black and white base layers. If you look closely at the tracks, you will even spot the Atlas Stationers name and our downtown Chicago zip code (60606) seamlessly integrated into the pattern.
